I’m excited about a leadership retreat my team and I are facilitating this Friday at The Factory in Franklin, Tenn. Besides testing some material I’ve developed and applied around having a strategic plan for one’s life, we’ll be discussing the importance of intentionally cultivating a personal brand.

Sadly, too many individuals are not brand-conscious. They might be well aware of commercial brands they appreciate such as Disney, Apple, Nike, etc., but often fail to see the strengths and opportunities of their own brand.

A brand can be defined as “what you are known for.” And everybody, like it or not, is known for something.

Can you recite your own brand in 30 words or less? What would one of your friends, colleagues, neighbors—or perhaps especially your spouse or significant other—say is your brand?
