Gandhi inspiringly declared, “Be the change you want to see in the world”…but it can be difficult to determine exactly how to become a living change agent.

Please allow me to offer a simple roadmap for holistic change in my latest work, Assess, Collaborate, Execute: ACE Your Way Through Life. My third book (following the novel Narcissus Blinked and spiritual memoir Chased by the Wind) unpacks an intentional, three-phased approach of assessing the situation at hand; collaborating with others; and executing with discipline—three skills combined into the acronym ACE—to get better results and satisfaction throughout 12 multi-dimensional spheres.

These spheres unfold across two parts: “Personal ACE” and “Interpersonal ACE.” The “personal” comes first because the work we do on ourselves makes us more fully available to interact with others in a healthy and productive manner, and its spheres include:

As we nail these first three “Interpersonal Spheres,” we are set up to be agents of progress in our families, companies, non-profits and society in general. We can effectively lead and manage both people and processes; coach and develop others; and craft strategies that can help organizations and individuals identify, pursue and achieve their goals.

Who is the audience for this book? I have a few different groups in mind. One includes business owners, organizational leaders and managers, who will benefit from being more intentional with the three-phased process. Another group who will significantly benefit includes executive and life coaches.

However, aside from these professionals, any person desiring better results and satisfaction will mine plenty of gold from these chapters. Take a glance at the 12 spheres listed above, and certainly you will see a few in which you long for more effectiveness and fulfillment.
